Family meal planner
Deciding what to cook every night is one of the most repetitive jobs in a household, and it rarely gets easier just because you have done it a thousand times before. Intelli-Life’s assistant drafts the week’s dinners for you, then builds the shopping list automatically and skips anything you already have in the pantry.
On a night when the week’s plan does not fit, ask the assistant for a dinner suggestion based on what is actually in the pantry, and it adds whatever is missing straight to the shopping list. The assistant only reports the list as updated once it has actually changed, so you can shop from it with confidence.
Intelli-Life is made in Australia and works on iPhone and Android, so the plan, the pantry and the list are all in the same place whether you are at home or standing in the supermarket aisle.
How it works
- Draft the week. The assistant drafts a set of dinners for the week ahead, ready for you to review or adjust.
- Build the shopping list. Once the week’s dinners are set, the shopping list is built automatically, skipping anything already sitting in the pantry.
- Ask for a pantry dinner. Ask the assistant what to cook tonight from what is in the pantry, and it suggests a dinner and adds any missing items to the list.
- Shop from your phone. The shopping list is ready on iPhone and Android, so whoever is at the shops has the current list, not last week’s.
- Adjust as the week goes. If the week’s plan changes, whether a dinner is swapped or a night is skipped, the shopping list can be updated by asking the assistant instead of editing it by hand.

Frequently asked questions
How does the meal planner decide what to cook?
The assistant drafts the week’s dinners for you. You can review and adjust the draft, or ask it to suggest a dinner from what is already in the pantry.
Does the shopping list update itself?
Yes. Once the week’s dinners are set, the shopping list is built automatically and skips anything already in the pantry, so you are not buying what you already own.
What happens if I do not have everything for a planned dinner?
Ask the assistant for a dinner suggested from the pantry instead, and it adds whatever is missing to the shopping list.
Can I check the meal plan and shopping list on my phone?
Yes. Intelli-Life has iPhone and Android apps, so the plan and the list travel with you to the shops.
Can I change the plan partway through the week?
Yes. Ask the assistant to swap a dinner or adjust the plan, then ask it to bring the shopping list into line with the new plan.
Is the meal planner free to use?
Intelli-Life is free during beta and does not need a card to start. It is also made in Australia.
